Topic: help

can anyone tell me how to get this board hooked up and to communicate with my computer. I already have RH running with other printers. When i plugged it in the computer noticed and said it had installed the drivers and all as com port 7. when i click the port in RH it imediately disconnects.

So i think this board doesnt have anything on it. its brand new. the prusa i3 disc came with an arduino app and the board says "base on sanguinolu" down at the bottom. what do i need to download and in what order? heres a pic

Re: help

each printer needs its own port. what numbers are listed in settings. also each printer needs its own name in the connect pull down list so you connect to correct printer when starting. may have to add one. I also found 3D printers need highest numbers on puter for com ports as other serial devices wont see the printer if its not inuse when installing new device and they grab the printer port if its seen as next available number. I had to go into port that was taken and renumber it to get it back. took me over a week and SD techs no help. topics on this in forum. search connection errors

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

Re: help

I'm betting that FTDI chip is a fake. Can you screenshot your device manager, with serial ports heating dropped down?
