Topic: New SD2, Stepper motor spazzing out

I have maybe like 20 hours on this machine and after a fiasco with the solidoodle installing the wrong firmware, one of my stepper motors starts spazzing. It's the Y axis motor and I switched the plugs at the board to make sure it wasn't the driver. Turns out it is the motor. Here is a video I shot of what it does. It actually done this when I first bought it but randomly started working again and didn't have it come back until now. Also when the machine is powered down the motor spins freely.

Either need to adjust your V-ref on that motor, or something is binding up. Check your belt tension as well.

Okay, I adjusted the pot on the driver and all the way maxed out it didn't make a difference. Like I said, everything is free and moves easily when the unit is powered off. So is the only other thing that could be bad is the motor?
