Topic: how fast or how much extruding?

i had a big question for this, i had no idea what was my multiply for the new motor that i purchase from local electronics store in malaysia, it was 2A mabuchi 12v motor.

so what is the standard time for extruding mg94 by grams or by inch

my result for 10 min of extruding the MFI 20 (mm/10kg) resin was 208" (20.8"/min) when i saw ur sticky  the mg94 was 11.7 for 5kg and the datasheet written if for 10kg it the MFI was 42, thats mean if i can get my hands on mg95 it will be crazy fast extruding, is it?

my result for 250g resin finish in 4h 30min.

Generally MG94 is extruded at about the rate you describe. Assuming the MFI values for the resin you used are the same test method (same kg, same temperature) then you could expect MG94 to go faster. However, you said your resin was tested at 5kg, and MG94 at 10kg - so slightly different tests.

oppss.. my bad... the mg94 11.7 is rated on 3.8kg

here what i found

mg94 @10kg test = 42
and my local abs rated @10kg =20

can this make a big different ? on speed / vol on extruding?

it was mabuchi RS540-SF

i dont have any rpm tester but extruding fast with the sample abs filastruder foc to me

is the abs was mg94?

I thought the speed should around 5rpm? i scared if too high will destroy the whole machine? tongue thank you.

yes, that motor, im from perak.. where did u purchase 250-x10? every supplyer in perak leading me to 700-x01, they said the 250 series is hard to get.. if i willing to purchase 1 ton is ok if one bag only they didnt want to supply it coz it really2 rare here... perak and selangor near maa...

i thing its 12-15 rpm, i just mark and count until 1 min, it that how to count the revolution of its in other way?

That sounds way too fast. How long does 1 revolution take? 15 seconds? That's 4RPM.

i think i was wrong... so how to count rpm.. ?? revolution × what? or somekind of other calculation

please.. before i spend money to other motor...

i mark at the auger and count it until 1 min and it make 15 or 16 revolution

Then yes that's 15RPM, which seems fast. It shouldn't hurt anything as long as the motor is strong enough.

Ghaffar I know 1 supplier could provide, they could sell at least 25kg for abs resin. You using switching power supply which is 12v 10A to support that super fast motor? Do you also buy new power adapter supply which is 12v 10A also? thx

yup, extra power supply or it will suck the power all without spare for sestos and heater, you will need to buy just a little power supply.. can find ot at jalan pasar kot, the RM30 just nice for the motor and fan

Can i know what your extrusion rate now after u apply 15rpm motor? Can I have your phone number I will contact u in whatapps and give u the information of the supplier. So, all your power supply and switch is 12v 10A just double confirmed?haha

i told you already, now im using 20 MFI resin, and extruding 20.8" / min... i think is you using the 250-x10, the mfi was 48... twice or triple speed
