Re: WAF curve

just an update...

after numerous request.. (at least 2 ..lol wink ) and as i was not totaly happy with the result that didn,t meet my quality critera..

i remade the model from scratch... this time , more curvy, less hair, less 'pregnant' look... more 'pink panther' like...

so.. the nude panther  : back from the hairdresser  is alive.. (test printing now..)
and she's ready for a sun bath on the tahiti beachs

little preview :

Re: WAF curve

Much better.  I thought the first one looked a little pregnant, but I didn't say anything because the last thing you should do is ask a girl if she is pregnant.

Re: WAF curve

Final got a fan on my prints again so I could print this out. I must say, this came out really really well. This is .15 layer height, 2 perimeters, 10% infil, standard print speeds. Print time: 1h:46m

Sorry, all I had was my cell phone to take pictures. I should have my DSLR back today.

Re: WAF curve

Wow, that really did coemout nicely. I'm constantly amazed at your print times though.. just how tweaked is your machine?

14

Re: WAF curve

At 10% infill and only 2 perimeters, there isn't much here that would take time to print. these print times should be attainable by any machine.

Re: WAF curve

realy nice print... but for mine at 0.2mm, 12%infill and 2 perimeter, it took 5 hours..

so.. seem you boost your timing somewhere... can you give you slic3r config to check what is different ?

thanks

Re: WAF curve

Him, I'll check it out and upload that config when I get home. Maybe that was one of my own configs. I have quite a few Configs that I have sped up but I usually denote them. either way, I'll post it.

Re: WAF curve

The slicer you use can have a huge difference in print times. KisSlicer regularly gives me much shorter print times than Slic3r does.

Just my 2 cents...

Re: WAF curve

I didn't see anything crazy but here is my slicer config for that print. 1h 46m is what it shows as a finish time.

Re: WAF curve

If you have slow down cooling turned off because you are using the fan instead, that will save a lot of time.
