I would also advise you to get rid of XYZ white filament. It is garbage and prints poorly compared to other colors. Get their natural color and you find that alone gives you a big improvement. To me some of what is pictured is just the filament laying down poorly which is what white does.

Is this true for the Da Vinci Jr white PLA as well?  I noticed my white filament for my Jr prints like crap.  There are small nubs sticking out of the print in random places and sometimes longer/stringy pieces as well.  The first layer has a "fuzziness" to it like it's not laying down right, despite my z offset being good.  I also cleaned the nozzle and it still doesn't print very well.  Will definitely try a different color, as my Nature PLA seems to print much better.

It is probably the same formula, just put on a different roll. They do use a custom formula that melts at lower temps for all their printers compared to third party brands.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

I'm having the same problem when printing circles in my da Vinci Jr. 1.0, and I'm kinda new in 3D printer mods.

My question is: Is it possible to adjust the x/y offset in the Da Vinci Jr. through the repetier v.91?

Your issue is mechanical. Did you check the Y X axis to make sure when it is pulled all the way forward, that both ends are equal distance as in should almost be touching the white pulleys in the front of the machine in the top?

Since I bought this printer recently from amazon I just returned my da Vinci Jr. and got a replacement for free. The new Jr. came perfect, all circles pretty round. But it's good to know what to do in case this happens with the new printer. Thanks for all your help guys.

Can you explain where is the mechanical issue.
In the junior, there only one teeth pulley by axis. all other are free pulley. the belts are closed.
The X and Y axis are parallèle

The bed (y axis) stop too soon and that make a flat part.
Anyone have an idea of what i can do to get round circle?

I had printed the same circle but cut at the middle on Y axis and i get 2 perfect half circles.
How that could be possible? perfect in 2 part, bad on one part?
If someone can help me to know why, that's will be kind. thank you.

Re: DaVinci Circles not round

Answering on an old topic, but here's how you fix the problem on XYZ Da Vinci Jr:

If the circular object prints with flat spots running left-right, then you'll need to tighten the belt assembly under the print bed. This requires removing the glass and metal platform, then using a flat screwdriver to press the clips in on the black plastic shield. I removed the spring and stretched it, adding about 25% more length overall.

If the circular object prints with flat spots running front-back, then you'll need to tighten the gantry belt assembly. This requires removing the spring and stretching it to add tension to the belt.

Make sure to loosen the nearby lash screw and tighten with pressure.
