Topic: Da Vinci 1.0a upgrade E3D V6 thermistor problem

Hi Guys. Please I urgently need help.
I just upgrade my Da Vinci 1.0a running on Repetier 0.92 firmware for the past 1800 hours, with a www.3dprintingstore.co.za E3D V6 hotend, but on the startup the LCD display shows the hotend is already at 250 degrees. After a while I get the "heater decoupled" message.
3dprintingstore.co.za said I should replace the stock E3D V6 thermistor with the stock Da Vinci themistor as the E3D V6 uses a 100k and the Da Vinci a 200k.. I have no idea how to remove the Da Vinci thermistor, as it looks like it is embedded in the hotend.
Will this solve my problem, should I re-install the firmware or do any of you have any other suggestions?
Regards
Deon

Re: Da Vinci 1.0a upgrade E3D V6 thermistor problem

I had the same problem but mine was not due to software or firmware configurations.
It was a simple thing, at that same time I had removed my extruder nozzle and connected the thermister and fan to the wrong connectors. I did notice my temprature readings were not going up before it timed out. After reading all the different causes here on line I noticed my fan was not running on the extruder.
I swapped the connectors and that solved the problem.
