Topic: S3D. Where do i put the Z offset?

I need your help with S3D guys. I'm using a modified Da Vinci JR with ramps board, running Marlin. My build plate only moves on the Y axis. it doesn't move up or down. Nor does it have any springs etc. for fine tuning the z offset. It also doesn't have a z-probe. I'm trying to get to grips with S3D and i need advice. I'm a bit of a noob so go easy on me. These are the 2 parts i'm stuck on,

"options/machine/origin offset"
"process settings/gcode/origin offset"

I'm guessing "options/machine/origin offset" and "process settings/gcode/origin offset" are the same thing except the first is relevant to the printer and the second is a "per print" setting.

Then there is the "process settings/gcode/global gcode offsets" Below are my settings in Marlin. My question is, what goes where? I understand that the lower a negative number is, the closer the nozzle will be to the bed. I'm basically trying to adjust my z-offset to get the nozzle 1mm from the bed. I have no problem doing that but its where do i place the negative number for that z-offset?

Travel limits after homing (units are in mm)
#define X_MIN_POS -14
#define Y_MIN_POS -15
#define Z_MIN_POS 0
#define X_MAX_POS 165
#define Y_MAX_POS 155
#define Z_MAX_POS 170

Measured values for Da Vinci Jr
#define MANUAL_X_HOME_POS -14
#define MANUAL_Y_HOME_POS -15
#define MANUAL_Z_HOME_POS 0

Any help would be most welcome :-)

Re: S3D. Where do i put the Z offset?

It needs to be added to your start gcode which I believe from memory is under other options down towards the right end of the setting tabs.

Edit:

After getting home and looking the start and end gcodes can be set up in the scripts tab. Those line placed in there are added to the start and end of every job during slicing.
