Re: Welcome to ATLAS 3D & FreeLSS

Hello,

Nice community and one amazing scanner with excellent results.
I am now waiting patiently to get my software licence.
(I'm sorry but I had to buy the parts in Europe to skip VAT and customs taxes)

After a quick and easy assembly I now have  a few test scans that look impressively good considering the lack of calibration.

Setup is RPI3 + Camera V2, wifi connected, currently running freelss from github.

I will have to calibrate it better but am now playing with it while waiting for the licence to arrive. No 8MP available at the moment, I will dig deeper after software is complete and up to date.

Cheers Uriah!

See you all around!

Re: Welcome to ATLAS 3D & FreeLSS

Hi,
congratulations for the powerful of this project.

I've just finished to assemble my 3D scanner.
I bought a Waveshare ir camera model (F) with adjustable focus and to connected to a Pi model 2.
I made an aluminum frame with a wooden turn-table but now I've some problems with the setup.
Does anyone have never made a similar solution? There is a lens correction on the software?

I've installed FreeLSS 1.11.

Thanks.

Re: Welcome to ATLAS 3D & FreeLSS

Hi all, my name is Kev and I would like to introduce myself to this community. I am 46 old years wink and I live in the midlands, England.
I have a couple of weeks ago just finished building a part-by-part 3D printer called the Atlas V3, which isn't too bad for a first 3d printer. I have also recently purchased a 2nd hand Atlas 3D scanner and it arrived a few days ago, so it has had a few test runs and seems to be running ok except for some tweaking here and there. I joined these forums too expand my knowledge and help others who may have problems etc.
I hope i can be a valuable member smile
