Re: XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 Hacking

Can anyone tell me what happens exactly when you try to downgrade. Is it the xyzware app blocking the downgrade or is it the printer itself? I have found a line in the source code that looks like it blocks the downgrade but can't be sure that will be enough

So... the Jr motherboard uses the Arm4 Cortex processor instead of the Arm3, but the code should be very compatible.  It seems to me that we can use the same tool chain, but update the signature check to look for the Arm4 (ATSAM4) instead of the ATSAM3.  As soon as I verify the boot pins, I'll try it.

vova_aryasov, did you short the two pins in the round mark to get it to reset?  My next step was going to trace the boot pins from the main chip to see if they were, but if you can confirm then I'll be one step closer.  I have a Jr just for educational purposes and if all else fails, I'll just drop in a printrboard to get it printing again, so I can experiment away on the main board... I have no plans on ever purchasing more closed filament for it.

If you can get me a diagram of what pins we are trying to find or the name of them i would be happy to help. ive got the motherboard sitting here with a continuity tester right now. I found the document on the proc with all the pin info but im not exactly sure what you would be looking for on it

The pin is mapped.

Re: XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 Hacking

I don't know what you did with your original tag. But i you want use antoher brand you need blank tag NTAG 213.
I bought these from amazon
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07DS2 … &psc=1

Remember that you can't refill a tag and you need to disable internet to XYZ printing software. Because XYZware verify original tag database. You can search on forum special version of XYZware.

Re: XYZprinting Da Vinci 1.0 Hacking

HI all,

I am generating gcode files in slic3r and cura for an xyz Davinci pro 1.0, then opening them in theXYZprint or XYZware proprietary program to send them to the printer.

The g-code on this site and others was great. Thank you.

I have got gcode working and the first 20mm of height prints perfectly, Then the printer stops printing at 20mm high and mark the job as finished. (attached image.)

The XYZprint program shows this partial print as being it's output, XYZware shows the whole file as being ready to print, then stops unexpectedly at the same layer.

Current version of XYZ software, Cura and Slic3r. (updates on all 3 run and installed, Windows machine as XYZ doesn't support Linux)

So, two questions if I may:

(1) Does anybody know the fix?  Is it a machine or software setting?
and

(2) Is there a way to go directly to the printer and bypass the XYZ interface as another solution.?

With thanks in advance.

Andrew
