Yeah i already saw that the firmware is a higher one right now.. I hope that i am with my old 1.0.6 will be able to get some results. I just ordered 20 NTAG213s for like 10 bucks to test if i can somehow generate my own tags. I will keep you updated. (Let me guess you bought yours from conrad electronics like me on black friday?

You will need to know the PACK code in order to create your own tags. Those tags will come with a predefined UID which you can retrieve the password from the printer with a logic analyzer.
At least the PACK is only 2 bytes..
So only (max) 65536 guesses

Am i understanding that correctly that at the moment the biggest problem is that newer davinci firmwares are able to detect if the chip has been reset? Because if thats the case it could be possible for guys with a small firmware number (like me with my davinci mini w on 1.0.6) that it is not implemented yet, and we can reset our chips as often as we like. But thats something someone with an almost depleted spool and chip has first to find out, and i have currently 51 m left on my spool, which i dont want to loose in case something goes wrong.

Did anyone use emutag (http://www.emutag.com/) before? Maybe I can generate PACK fast enough to try different combinations?
You can only test the PACK via the printer, the quickest way by selecting Info - Spool info... there is no automated way of doing that.

Maybe it's easier with Mini since there is no button on the printer 
(alright, there is a button for aborting the task, but that is about it)

I would like to know if anyone could help me generate passwords for these RFID chips. I cant seem to get a hold of the seller on E-bay anymore and would like to crack these for other types of plastic.
For a cheap 3d printer i've had ALOT of good prints come out of it.

Thank you for the recognition, but all I have done was used the information from this thread to help people that I could. Most of the useful information came from ChunkLady and crgpgh, they were the pioneers who made this hack available. My hat goes off to them.
Hello Bozotclown1970 i just opened you setup.exe and had to see that there are missing some folders and files required by it to function properly. Do you have more data from the card?

Thank you for catching that. Apparently I only uploaded the setup initialization piece, but when I just zipped the whole card. It is 311M zipped and I cannot upload a file that large. If anyone has a place that can be accessed let me know and we can see how we can accomplish that.

Was anyone successful in resetting the spool for the Da Vinci Mini? I just got the "unidentified spool" error after tampering with the remaining filament length stored on the chip.

Did you try increasing the value of the last byte on page 9 by 1 ?
