It sounds like it could be interesting until you get to the part where you need to put it in an 800c oven for a while. I don't think many homes have them. Interesting stuff though.

ERRRR  Tom I think that is  80 degrees C they tried to put the degree symbol in and it did not work

some of the newer performance filaments use annealing. The Makergeeks Raptor series filament requires a 5-10 minute 100c 212F annealing. This makes sense as many materials are annealed to reduce manufacturing stresses . There is a lot of heating and cooling going on with the filament during the 3d printing process. that is why high end ABS printers use a heated chamber.

Yeah, at 800C the filament would have long ago melted and perhaps burst into flames.
