Topic: Guide tube disconnected DaVinci Jr 1.0

Hey guys I am really happy to have found this site as XYZ is a little frustrating. I'm new to 3D printing since March. We print mostly cookie cutters used for dog treats.
I was trying to trim the guide tube but mistakenly twisted the holder instead of pulling the tube out sad
Can anyone help me to fix it? See attached pic of my blunder

@giggybites - it's quite simple. Remove front cover of the print head by undoing those clips around. You'll see funnel like metal thing, just slide it back into the grooves and screw PTFE tube connector from the top.

@kr15_uk -thanks so much for the advice. I figured it was something simple but didn't want to break anything else.  That funnel thing is back in place and I am printing again! I appreciate your taking the time to help

Giggibites:

This site is very helpful and has a very active XYZ group.

I do want to throw out some info that may help in the future. Most of us here have experienced frustration with our printers it is part of the learning curve. It is often difficult to find real solid support for printers. So if one does not have a sound technical background the frustration level is a bit higher.
Now for the good news. You are only a Half hours drive from expert help . https://printedsolid.com/ Matt sells a full line of 3d printers from the wahoa i3 to the Ultimaker. and has a huge inventory of filament . He has also conducted training classes.for schools and bushiness wanting to use 3d printers.
He is an engineer  as well as a businessman. I am a friend of his  and do not make a dime from any sales just hoping to help both of you in your business .

@Tin Falcon Thanks so much for reaching out and especially for the contact. I will definitely reach  out to Matt and hopefully get to his shop.  It's easy to be intimidated by these printers but I'm realizing that it takes a little common sense & a ton of patience more than anything else. I'm glad to have found this site and grateful for the help & advice. GiggyBites

So true . Another one of the hurdles is most of us start out not really knowing what a good print looks like.
I was very impressed with the quality of the prints on display when I attended PrintedSolids grand opening.

I posted this link in the stick section it may helpful you troubleshoot prints. https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin … eshooting/
