Topic: Linear motion X/Y alternative?

I don't know if anyone has seen this yet, but it looks like a decent option. Anyone tried it yet?

Re: Linear motion X/Y alternative?

If used for a carriage it would mean two motors on the carriage unless used strictly for bowden setups. But then you are still left with a motor on carriage which was the reason for going to bowden in the first place. Not sure it would work for Y movement unless you moved the bed. If you move the gantry it would be hard to keep both sides even unless you used dual synchronized motors.
