Topic: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

Hey folks!

We are excited to announce the opening of our online 3D printing store, PRINTiT Industries! This is a joint project between me, wardjr, IronMan and jagowilson. We are specializing in three areas: pre-assembled E3D HotEnds, substitute parts for Solidoodle printers, and general 3D printing hardware to serve all users. We are the first and ONLY shop in North America to offer fully assembled genuine E3D HotEnds with a wide range of options, including the v6, Lite6, Cyclops, Chimera, and add-on Volcanos for all of these!

With the unfortunate news of Solidoodle's current state, many of their customers are finding themselves in need of new parts for their machines. We aim to fill the void created by this situation. We have helped many users get back up and running over the years and know we can offer comfort to novices and verterans alike. Our store is stocking up on replacement parts and upgrade parts/kits specifically for Solidoodle 3D printers. As time goes on, we will expand our collection to include more parts and upgrade kits as we receive feedback from the community.

Our mission is to offer top-notch products that have been rigorously tested from reliable sources, and ultimately become a one-stop shop for all users. Even if you aren't a Solidoodle user, we are confident you will find things you need in our shop. As always, we are open to community suggestions!

Come check us out!

Thanks everyone. We hope to keep Soliforum an active and thriving community that can help everyone get up and running, regardless of the printer they use. We hope providing a shop with direct involvement in the community will help us achieve that goal.

Special thanks goes to Tim Elmore (elmoret) for all of his help in getting the ball rolling on this and supplying us with the E3D HotEnds.

Re: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

maybe you can add items for the Atlas Scanner too. if needed. these Guys truly do rock! have delt with Azerate a few times and Tim too. I would give them A+ rating on a scale like ebay uses for trustworthy sales, good packing, shipping, prices, customer service etc. Highly recommended!

let me know if you make mod/replacement parts for Solidoodle like the Aluminum bed support that goes on the 'Z' rods for SD2 and SD3 and better bed heater etc. I plan to find an SD3/4 cheap and mod it into a Duel extruder. keeping my SD2 for backup with upgrades for more durable better performing 3D printing than stock.

I was looking into the ibox nano SLA printer for another type format until seeing an ebay seller with whats left of the maker seems and a review on youtube, changed my mine and just gonna buy a Lix 3D pen for touchups and stay the coarse with my FDM maybe add Acetone vapor smoothing too.

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

Re: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

Very interesting and I hope you guys are able to help some people while also turning a profit for your time.  Personally, I would be pretty reluctant to sell someone a pre-assembled E3D hot end because of the better than not chance that they mess it up while installing it and then blame you.  For example, since you are not including wiring terminations, there's a pretty good chance of someone man handling it while attempting to crimp a connector onto the thermistor and causing a short due to unrestrained wires moving around.  With a thermistor short, its pretty hard to tell whether it got shipped out with a little bit of frayed sleeving, or if it became like that during installation.  I believe you guys would ship well assembled ones, but I'm surprised you are willing to take the risk for what could become a customer service nightmare.

Re: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

Thermistor cables are pre-terminated from E3D with 0.1" pin headers, there's no need for the end user to crimp anything.

Also I've assembled E3D hotends for customers a bit here and there as a favor, no complaints so far.

Re: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

Is that a recent change that E3D made?  Or is that just for the ones from this site?  Got both my E3D's a while ago and had to crimp them myself.

Re: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

If ordered as a pre assembled unit from www.printitindustries.com it comes fully assembled.  That means the wires are already crimped and just need to be plugged into the board.  The ones you ordered were not pre assembled units.

Thanks to all for your contributions

All hotends we sell are fully assembled complete with heat tightening. During this final step, thermistors are tested, then carefully packaged once cooled.

As long as I can remember v6 hotends have always had pre terminated (on the controller board side) thermistor cables. Yes, you have to use the ferrules to connect the thermistor to the thermistor cable, but it stands to reason that a company offering preassembled hotends would be connecting the thermistor cable to the thermistor for you.

Re: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

Yep, we sure do! The only thing end-users have to figure out is how they will connect the heater to their board. Unfortunately this is still far from standardized and likely never will be, so we leave it up to you.

Re: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

All good news, guys. I think you're making some smart moves. When is your $500 error-free, SLA printer coming out? And that $500 high-capacity desktop injection molding machine?

Re: Announcing PRINTiTindustries.com

clones maybe dont pre crimp like from ebay/amazon etc. thats just 1 of many short cuts they take plus not made in USA. thats why this venture is so much better. even if a bit more money than the clones. 'ounce of prevention = pound of cure'
