Topic: Moldlay

Hey so I'm brand new to this.
I have a Flashforge Creator Pr 3d.

I want to start using a new filament (Moldlay) which is meant for casting. I just cant figure out the settings that are ideal for using moldlay. mainly;

Feedrate
and HBP temp.

Really any tips will be really helpful.

Thanks!

Does the manufacturer not supply any of that information?

MOLDLAY Specs and Qualities:

    Near zero warping
    Can be printed without a heated bed
    Prints at temperatures of 170 – 180° C
    Molds must be treated at ~ 270°C in an old baking oven

As he explained to 3ders.org, MOLDLAY is a type of plastic with distinct wax-like properties. Specifically, it becomes liquid (with a thin oil viscosity) when heated up to about 270 degrees Celsius thanks to some specially chosen types of oily paraffin. At the same time, it’s very rigid and solid at room temperature, and becomes extrudable when heated up to 170-180 degrees Celsius (keep your printbed at 40 degrees).

Re: Moldlay

I don't have much to add other than I was just reading about Moldlay the other day.
Whenever you get everything dialed in, I'd like to see some of your results and applications.
