Topic: Filawinder Arduino Problems

I just set up my Filawinder and tried to run it for the first time. In Auto model, I flipped the power on and the servo started ticking towards the left. The 4 LEDs on the Arduino Nano were also flashing red every time the servo moved. I checked all the buttons and potentiometer and everything is working. All the wires are in the correct place on the control board. Could this be due to a bad Arduino? What else could be causing this?

It's most likely the power supply.   Do you have another 12v supply you can try?   If it is less than 1 amp don't try running the motors with it,  just see if the Arduino quits  restarting.

Re: Filawinder Arduino Problems

My multimeter shows that I'm receiving 12.3-12.4 volts from the power source. But I borrowed a 12V/2A power supply from a friend and it worked. I tried a 9V battery first and that worked too.

Seems that the power supply was the problem. Don't know why since it's giving out 12V and 6A.

? Isn't the included power supply 12v/2a?

Re: Filawinder Arduino Problems

Yes, but it seems to be broken. I was only getting 1A of current from the one that came with the kit. I tried a different one from an electric blanket and that worked just fine. Got 2A right on the dot with that one.
