Topic: Solidoodle 2 Firmware for Sanguinololu 1.3

I need to locate working firmware to reload on my Solidoodle 2 Sanguinololu 1.3 controller board.

I was attempting to enable heat-bed PID control and tried to flash a firmware from https://github.com/mlaws/solidoodle2-marlin but now I'm stuck where either I can't control speed on-the-fly (no M115 report with the beta?) or I can't get the printer to connect properly stuck at "Waiting for command" (with the non-beta).

Is there anywhere I can get either a .hex (preferred) or code to compile for what my Solidoodle 2 would have shipped with that works well?

I have an ISP programmer.

Just use this one and make any changes you need.  https://github.com/ozadr1an/Solidoodle- … in_v1_beta
The one you are trying to use has some things enabled that you don't have on your printer.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End
SSR/500W AC Heated Glass Bed, Linear bearings on SS rods. Direct Drive Y-axis, BulldogXL
Thanks to all for your contributions

I have just tried building/uploading that firmware (with version set for v2 instead of v3 printer, and uncomment bed PID).
I'm still seeing it hang at "Command waiting" intermittently when I first try to connect.

I see mention of an "autoreset" jumper in reprap Sanguinololu documentation, my printer has this jumper set in the "shorted" position from the factory.  I just tried disassembling the cover and moved the jumper to the "open" position and the "Command waiting" seems to have gone away.  I see notes about "reset during print" with the jumper closed.

What position should this "autoreset" jumper be set to for normal operation of my Solidoodle2?  Was it possibly incorrectly configured by mistake from the factory and I was just lucky it worked until I messed with it?

bump?  anyone know what the jumper should be set to?

I haven't used a Sang for a while  but I have a photo to look at and I am unsure what jumper you are speaking of.  Can you post a clear picture of your whole board and point out the jumper?

The jumper between the Micro and the Z extruder StepStick is closed/shorted on mine. And I have never touched it. I have used the Arduino IDE several times to update the firmware.

It is supposed to have a jumper on it if that's the one you're talking about.

Strange.  Seems to be working now but only when I have the jumper removed.

I'll keep playing with it, thanks!

As long as it works I wouldn't worry about it too much.
